Lacking creativity we dubbed this reef the "Super Reef" and the one just south of that "Super Duper Reef." The first time I saw this place was with Murdock and his dad in his old Custom Deluxe and it looked far from "super" but has become one of my favorite spots in the area.

I've only just begun to know Willie Richardson, an old school dker from Pismo of the Stoker generation. This guy has some very interesting stories from his global travels and will soon be off to England for graduate school. Willie always shows up to parties with the most outrageous shirts and is relentless in his pursuit of women.

I kind of ruined Ryan Loughlin with this shot due to the facial expression but the barrel is still pretty sick despite the fact this day was seriously one foot. Lofty goes to San Marcos straight from Pisshole repping Esteem, hunting canaries, and riding waves.

Here is yet another one-foot day caught on video. The only person I know of that can producte some kind of footage no matter what the conditions is Roldan. Here he's floating across a whomping Pismo section on his break from Pismo Fish and Chips.

Louie is not known for his wave selection plain and simple. I think
Robles could get his own personal eat-it segment after some of his diggers in Chile, up and down California, and soon to be in Australia. That's me in the foreground staring in disbelief.

Here's Louie on a recent trip to San Diego. Louie banged on my door late on this morning side by side a very drunk Wilbur who had just come back from Tijuana. Obviously I wasn't expecting to get much video but this barrel of Louie's caught my eye.

Pismo southside rights got good this year, real good. Louie snagged this one from the pack of groms and got a couple of good hits in. When we were kids, this peak was packed with an intimidating assortment of 'Nam vets and Cal Poly cringers but has since been reconquered by a bunch of little boogie kids.

Here's James with not too many options. This day was probably the best waves I've ever seen in California and all that were out was Louie, James, and Briggs trading off bombs.

In South America we got the acronym craze, calling everything out by its initials. One phrase that stuck while filming was the "OS" wave, or wave that makes you go "oh shit". This here is an OS air off an OS section.

Here's Murdock stalling for the barrel up in the northern reaches of the
805. The only difference between this bowl and a pipe nugget is 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
