Josh Ralph ARSing out of a Ventura bowl like 4 years ago. Claiming straight edge and showing enormous potential early on, Josh slowly turned away from bodyboarding as he became consummed with the Ralph family traditions of Original Coors and working construction.
Here's Roldie up north with Salcido behind the lens. This guy shreds Pismo but when he steps outside the Pismo confines he is even more exciting to watch.
Everything becomes so much heavier when you factor in cold and sharky waters, but this waves would be plain out heavy anywhere in the world.
Bobo Hartley was a Hollywood Hearthrob who burst on the scene in the late '90's. Here he is tuberiding in Ventura with perfect hand placement, perfect posture and, more importantly, perfect hair.
This is why I love going home from San Diego to surf. Miles of uncharted surf with not a soul around except for Josh Ralph and a few Snowy Plovers.
Mark Miller down south with I believe Josh Warthen behind the lens. Miller and Warthen are a dangerous combination as they both are full-time philosophers when they choose to be. Now that Warthen has moved down south to play golf for SDSU, the two are once again reunited for some interesting conversations.
Full time Baja Fresh manager and full time sponge support, Eric Briggs is always down for the cause and has a bling bling house up in Pismo Heights to entertain all the Old Guard spongers. Briggidy is down to charge andalso down to pull into picturesque barrels like this gem.
This is a cool sign Mark and I found during our trip to Arizona. The two of us actually got lost heading out to the biggest ditch in the world but ended up finding some insane lifestyle action at this old mining town just outside of Phoenix.
Ross has been going absolutely mad with the recent run of tradeshows, getting engaged, taking care of Crawley, and doing some work for Aleeda in recent weeks. Hopefully Ross can get to Hawaii this year for some nice barrels like this.
Desperate for some last minute footage, James, Gummo and myself headed out to the local beachbreak on this day not expecting much, but James pulled through with a couple maneuvers like this that made it worth it.
