Somewhat, yes.
I had good feedback from a lot of people, but NOT the people that mattered.
I still think there is a lot of potential and maybe if i was in a different place in my life i would be willing to do it.
But sort of true what you said about lazy people when i couldn't even get to Step 2.
Maybe someday i can get to explain it.
But i am still wondering why more people are doing documentaries on people like Dre, Stewart, Roach, etc.
Even if its only made by dude in Australia. Wherever.
And like you said, lazy. Maybe.

What if this was so magical it re-stoked the flame in the hearts of old timers, and inspired a whole new generation of bodyboarders? What if this became a Rodriguez-like phenom in Oz? Why not? Seriously, dream big.

Sports go in cycles. When I was a kid in the 60's baseball was king. Then it was the NFL beginning to blow up in about the mid-70's with Monday Night Football new on the scene. Interest in baseball has waned, the NFL is losing popularity, and now the NBA is nearly king. Think of other social sports. Darts. Bocce Ball. Now Cornhole. Why not a revival with body boarding? It even has a nostalgic element to it with all the previous legends.

Remaster the older vids and make a documentary in the best possible video and sound format. I would be so excited to have something about the sport really rocking my home theater. I still have NF stuff in good shape (skeleton guy), I'm just too fat to wear it now. I'd buy some new shirts for sure. My wife loves the black hoodie with red crow and wears it all around the house when she's cold too.

The Raptor is all in baby!

VBC guys would eat up NF Box set. I think it is incredibly lame Ross (or whomever Stoker says is the person that matters) just refuses to communicate. As someone who clearly enjoyed the benefits of the sport when it had support and traveled the world riding incredible waves I don't understand it. This idea he is simply to busy or cant be bothered seems very childish and immature to me. Does the mystery person want a separate gofundme for his/her time to even just communicate with Stoker? lol i still think you would have that goal met... Truly baffles this stonewalled and unable to happen.

I guess what I don't understand is if person X is simply to busy why would they possible give a shit about rights pertaining to using NF to re-release the old videos? If you dont care, you truly shouldnt care about its future right?

There is much I dont understand as I've never put out a video or have any clue to whats behind it. Rob did an incredible job with all his stuff and Ring of Fires and could prob provide the best insight next to Stoker of what goes on.

DVD's are basically obsolete. Selling 500 of them wouldn't be worth anyones time.

Good on Ross for not pretending that you can just re-create the magic they had when the company was pumping. Don't be lame like Turbo or some other companies trying to jump back in to make a few dollars.

Also if memory serves me correctly, Stoker left for his own reasons first. Now he is trying to make it again when he has the time.

I would also assume that if you re-released a box set, you could be a sitting duck for copyright infringement due to the music that was used?
