Hey Jay,

What kind of core is PMA using in place of polypro for making the new custom boards?

The most recent boards have had extruded, so he still has a few blanks left as far as I know.

MEZ and DAN do customs in Indo but only for pros & friends (list of brands they produce in the factory: NMD, VS, PRIDE, SCIENCE, HB, ELIT, MOREY, BZ, EMPIRE, TURBO, SNIPER and more...)

FYI - Here are the shapers using a Buzz laminator technology (Toobs machine):
TOOBS (of course) + MEZ/DAN at the MEZ factory in indo + QCD + Brian Peterson i reckon (used to do vortex boards on a buzz machine)

In oz both Glenn Taylor at TURBO and Fish (manta/4play) learnt from MANTA boss terry fleming if i'm right and they both use the same methods/machines.

saw a fresh bsd custom the other day, the board felt soo dope, flex was epic construction was clean.

Also for the Aussies (or anyone else wanting something different) in the Newy/Boxy area there is Adam McHugh there quietly shaping some sweet sleds in his own company Solutions http://solutionbodyboards.com/ Being a mad knee-man himself he shapes for some shredding local knee crew. There were a lot of his units laying around the DKS this year, which was damn fine to see. The lads swear by them. I'll put in a couple of pics from the day. Last year Adz made solutions undies which were an absolute crack-up, clever marketing for the mad knee crew. he's just sorted all new gear so had some down time, but is all go now.

Adz also makes a heap of prone boards, Boxy is a sick wedge break and the lads have the harsh newy breeding, go hard and are unforgiving to substandard gear, so his units are well up to speed.

Man, as far as I know with the return of Funkshen recently, Tully is only doing mass produced factory boards from o/seas, no customs at this point is what i was told a while ago, but I'll give Dave a ring in the next few days to confirm that as they have the custom order form up, along with the team members they had before, some of which have defo changed, so it could be a lag in resorting the site.

I still have one of Funky's custom DK boards (from Trent Sandford) from when they were shaping. Very tidy units indeed, boys had great rep, just weren't making the dough in the end.
