And also if anyone wants to see movies that remind me of NF videos check our Richard Lornies, Chout and Chout the World, both epic bodyboard movies, full of Hubb, Houston and Romero footage.

- Bodyboarding has a bad habit of forgetting its legends from the past. Surfing does not do this - look at how well they still regard the legends like Rabbit Bartholomew, Occy, the Ho brothers, Andy Irons, Tom Carroll, Mark Richards, etc etc. The NF documentary would be a great way to promote our past heroes.

- Manta boards are a joke. Nothing like what they were in the 80's and 90's with their awesome beaded polypro core and 2-piece noses.

- Ben Holland was a legend too. Awesome air forwards and DK skills. My first board was a Rheopaipo Ben Holland with the terrible flat tail and wizard graphic on the slick.

Stoker, I will donate couch space & an extra car to drive if you need to come to Oahu to do any work on this? Almost all of the legends of the sport are around & very active in the bodyboarding world still.

Those videos shaped my youth and I am not sure you realize how much influence you had on my generation (I am 35 now). We ran into you guys probably 20 years ago surfing at Leo Carillo and I will always remember how cool you, Ross, and Skipp were. We were just a bunch a kids who idolized you guys and worshiped the videos you produced. You guys were humble, and took time out to shoot the shit with us about music and our twisted public access TV show that we had at the time.

I look forward to seeing this project completed and supporting it anyway I can.

If you're trying to schedule a meeting with bodyboarders, don't bother. Generally speaking, bodyboarders are lazy fucks. You just have to do that shit yourself or show up on someones door step. I had some good meetings last week. Still lots to discuss, but Step 1 is sort of out of the way i guess. Still lots to do, but trust me, i am trying. Hopefully this all sees the light of day.

Nobody should be surprised that nothing is happening. Bodyboarders are lazy fucks in general. You were expecting a different outcome, then you don't know bodyboarders. "Yah, I'm totally interested. Let me get back to you on that." I'm sure that's what Stoker heard, before never hearing back from them. Fact is most everyone has moved on from Bodyboarding's luster years and probably don't give a flying fuck about reliving the past. Good on ya for trying though.

Maybe they have other priorities like jobs and families to take care of? These guys are getting old and bodyboarding isn't like surfing where the legends are still sponsored or paid enough to retire with and able to live off the sport.
